BALSTOCK 2019 CHARITIES:
We had a tough time deliberating and whittling down the 25 suggested charities and appeals into just 5. Our apologies to those we couldn’t help this year, but we hope there’s a good cross section of worthy local causes. They are as follows:
Mind in Mid Herts – mental health charity
Darcie’s Wish – family bereavement support (& Lister Maternity unit)
Luna Animal Rescue
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance &
Baldock Town Community Sports Facility
We always need plenty of charity volunteers to shake buckets at Balstock (13th, 14th & 15th September), so if you can help us – even if it’s just for a couple of hours – please email [email protected] and let us know your availability for that weekend. We particularly need people willing to collect in the evenings, when more punters are aplenty and blissfully boozy.
AND THAT’S NOT ALL!!!
We decided to help out 2 further causes by donating a drum kit to Brandles School.
We will also be organising a fundraiser on Sunday the 12th of May, in the Garden of the George IV pub for Team Super Seraph (supporting a perky young lad, who sadly is needing immediate treatment for paediatric cancer) . Much more on that later…
