BALSTOCK (CIC) MISSION STATEMENT

         Balstock (CIC) is a not-for-profit, volunteer run festival whose aim is to distribute funds raised throughout the run up to, and the festival itself to worthy local charities put forward by festival attendees and the local community.

GENERAL:
Musicians and other contributors will be expected to perform free of charge. This general rule applies whether the act requests inclusion or is invited to perform.

The proprietors of venues will normally be expected to provide a drink and/or snack, relative to their business, to each performer.

 

EXCEPTIONS:
On occasion, artists, acts or specialist personnel based further afield who perform or assist with the event, may be entitled to minimal expenses.  The Committee will make a decision prior to the festival.  

Payments WILL NOT be made without prior authorisation from the Committee.

 

SPONSORSHIP:
Individuals may sponsor performers with the prior approval of the Balstock Committee. Any such acts must have the potential to enhance the success or reputation of Balstock and/or increase its ability to raise funds.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS:
Permission to hold  BALSTOCK (CIC) FUNDRAISER EVENTS must be approved by the Committee and any monies raised MUST be published via the Committee after the event.

All payments to performers from Balstock funds must include prior consultation, before the event, with its Treasurer.
